About Association of People with Disability
The Association of People with Disability (APD) is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities to lead full, independent, and productive lives. Established in 1959 and headquartered in Bengaluru, APD implements programmes across urban and rural South India spanning healthcare, education, skill development, employment, and advocacy. To date, APD has served over 10,00,000 individuals with disabilities and sensitised more than 15,00,000 people towards disability inclusion and rights.
